A single bottle for those tasting Sapalan for the first time. Early-harvest extra virgin olive oil, from the Aegean mountains to your table.
Its Story
Our village, Sapalan, is an Aegean mountain village whose roots reach back to Yörük nomadic culture. Our grandfathers grafted Memecik onto the wild olive trees of the mountains. For five generations, we have been the ones caring for those trees.
Production
The olives are picked by hand and with hand rakes while still deep green, then carried in ventilated crates. Olives that fall to the ground are never used. The 2026 harvest was picked on 25 October and cold-pressed into oil the same day at 22–26 °C.
Character
Notes of fresh-cut grass, tomato leaf, green almond and artichoke. Balanced fruitiness, medium-to-high bitterness and an elegant peppery finish in the throat. Unlike light, neutral oils, this is a Memecik with real character that lingers on the palate.
How to Use
Drizzle it on bread at breakfast, over salads or on top of soup. It shows its character best when enjoyed raw.
